Whoever loves cycling will be over the moon on this island. At least 135 km of cycle paths let you discover the most beautiful places on Texel. Cycle over the purple heather in Nationaal Park Duinen or take a trip to the lighthouse on the very tip of the island. It’s absolute pure enjoyment to take the cycle path along the Waddenzee. And cycling over the dyke gives you a magnificent view over the water as it splashes onto the shore. The cycle routes on Texel are ideal. Walking with the children

Take your walking shoes out of the cupboard and discover the most picturesque places on the island. Walk across the purple tinted moors, ramble through the woods or take a breath of fresh air along the beach. There are enough signposted walking routes that guide you to the most surprising places. The 'Sommeltjespad' is ideal for a walk with the children. Following the 'Sommeltjes' (Texel pixies) your children will be taken along a world of adventure through the woods.
